Carmelinda Gentile ha ideato questa rappresentazione corale per salutare il pubblico prima della pausa estiva. Intitolata “all’Amore io ci credo”, questa rappresentazione porta di nuovo in scena la stessa Carmelinda, assieme alle attrici e agli attori della sua compagnia teatrale, il Korego, con l’accompagnamento dei musicisti Sergio Bizzarro, Gaetano Fiorin e Diego Millo. Cosi’ Carmelinda, regista ed interprete, ci racconta la sua ispirazione.
L’Amore, un battito veloce, uno sguardo, un desiderio, un sogno, quanta letteratura, poesia, canzoni, gioie, dolori.
In nome dell’amore tutto sembra avere quasi senso. Immaginiamo che lei, la dea dell’amore, ce lo racconti questo amore attraverso le gioie e i dolori di grandi e conosciuti crociati di questa battaglia che e’ l’amare ed essere amati. Da Eva a Medea a Valentina “che crede all’amore”; da Adamo a Giasone a Giorgio che ha confuso l’amore con la violenza: un coro di uomini e donne che ci raccontanto le loro emozioni e le loro storie. L’amore vissuto con passione, con un briciolo di cinismo, l’amore innocente e inconsapevole, l’amore malato, l’amore tradito, l’amore…l’amore…
Mi sono interrogata su cosa sia l’amore tante, tante colte; ho cercato di darmi risposte e giustificazioni; ho studiato scientificamente e metafisicamente; sono rinata e sono morta tante volte per inseguirlo. Ma infondo, cos’e’ l’amore, se non un Dio capriccioso e senza regole.
Lo spettacolo andra’ in scena il 29 giugno alle 20h30 presso il Polanentheater di Amsterdam.

Carmelinda Gentile has created this choral recital, “in Love, I believe” to close the season before the summer break. In this play, she shares the stage together with the actresses and actors of her own theater company Korego, accompanied live by musicians Sergio Bizzarro, Gaetano Fiorin and Diego Millo.

Love, a quick beat, a look, a desire, a dream, so much literature, poetry, songs, joys, sorrows.
In the name of love everything seems to almost make sense. Let us imagine that she, the goddess of love, tells us all about love through the joys and sorrows of the great and known crusaders of the great battle that is to
love and be loved.
From Eva, to Medea, to Valentina “who believes in love”; from Adam, to Jason, to Giorgio who confused love with violence: a chorus of men and women telling us their emotions and their stories. Love lived with passion, with a shred of cynicism, innocent and unconscious love, sick love, betrayed love, love … love …
I wondered what love is so many times now; I tried to give myself answers and justifications; I studied it scientifically and metaphysically; I was reborn and died so many times to chase it. But afterwards, what is love, if not a capricious God without rules.
The play will be performed on 29th June at 20h30 at the Polanentheater.
